You start at the island church near Perast, thread through the Verige strait where the bay pinches to a few hundred metres, follow the Lustica coastline past Mamula, and finish at the Blue Cave. What to expect

Begin at the church on its man-made island. The story goes that sailors dropped a rock here after every safe voyage until there was enough of an island to build on.
- The Verige strait
Cruise the narrowest point of the bay, where the water squeezes between two headlands. Chains were once strung across here to stop hostile ships.
- Mamula and Lustica
Pass the island fortress and follow the cliffs and coves of the Lustica peninsula toward the open Adriatic.
- The Blue Cave
The boat holds off the entrance and confident swimmers go in from there. Engines are kept out of the cave, so it stays quiet and clear.
