Petrovac: A Relaxed Beach Town on the Budva Riviera

Petrovac: A Relaxed Beach Town on the Budva Riviera

South of Budva, Petrovac is a low-key resort town that keeps its old-fashioned charm: a curve of reddish sand and pebble, a pine-backed promenade, and a 16th-century Venetian fortress watching over the bay.

The beaches

Petrovac's main beach has unusually warm, reddish sand, and just south the smaller Lučice cove is a sheltered favourite. Two tiny islets, Katič and Sveta Nedjelja, sit just offshore and make an easy kayak or boat target.

Why visit

Petrovac is calmer than busy Budva, making it a pleasant stop on a coastal drive or a relaxed afternoon swim. The seafront fills with locals and Montenegrin holidaymakers in the evening for the traditional korzo stroll.
